How does exactly PLCwork? How do I input the pattern or style of glue to be applied on product to PLC. Basically how do I send data to machine where do I need glue applied

For the PLC system, there is a controller. On the controller, there are up, down, left and right button, you can draw the pattern by this four button, and the PLC system has memory for the pattern.
